Welcome to the Techstars Startup Weekend - PAI Palooza - Tulsa! Please read these official rules carefully to ensure a smooth and fair experience for all participants.
Key Dates
- Registration Opens: July 08, 2024
- Hackathon Kickoff: Friday, September, 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
- Submission Deadline: Sunday, September, 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m
- Judging and Final Presentations: Sunday, September, 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m.
- Winners Announced: September, 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m.
Eligibility
- Hackathon Community: Open to the general public.
- Participant Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Participant Occupation: Open to students, professionals, and post-graduates.
- Team Requirements: Teams are typically 4 to 8 members. Individuals can join and will be matched with a team.
- Company Requirements: Both individuals and teams representing organizations can participate.
- Geographic Restrictions: Must be present in person at hackathon event venue to participate and be eligible for prizes.
Submission Requirements

Project Requirements:
- Functionality: Projects must be functioning prototypes. A demo video is required if the project isn't fully functional.
- Tools: Projects must utilize the pAI-OS platform.
- Categories: Projects should focus on enhancing user interaction, integrating AI services, personalization, or security and privacy.
- Platform: Projects should be compatible with the pAI-OS system requirements.
- New Projects: All projects must be newly created for this competition. Existing projects are not eligible.
- Testing: If the project isn't publicly available, a detailed video demonstration or access for testing is required.

Submission Requirements:
- What to Enter: A link to the project, a project description, and any necessary installation files.
- Video: A 2-3 minute video demonstrating the project and its functionalities, uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or Youku.
- File Upload: One ZIP file containing all necessary files for the project.
- Entry Details: Include an entry name and a detailed description.
- Multiple Apps: Participants may submit only one project.
Prizes & Winner Selection
- Prizes: Detailed prize information will be announced at the event kickoff.
- Judging Criteria: Projects will be judged based on innovation, functionality, user experience, and alignment with the pAI-OS platform goals.
- Eligibility for Prizes: Only projects that meet all submission requirements and deadlines are eligible for prizes.
Communication and Updates
- Communication: All important updates will be communicated through the Devpost platform and email. Ensure your contact details are up-to-date.
- Rule Changes: Any necessary changes to the rules will be communicated promptly and will not disadvantage participants.
General Rules
- Consistency: All rules will be applied consistently. Any project that does not meet the specified requirements will be disqualified.
- Question Handling: Questions about the rules should be posted on the Discussion forum for the benefit of all participants. Responses will be shared publicly to ensure equal access to information.
Code of Conduct

Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behaviors include, but are not limited to:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or technology choices.
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
- Sustained disruption of talks, presentations, or other events.
- Unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the organizers may take any action deemed appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event without a refund.
Reporting and Enforcement
If you are subjected to unacceptable behavior or witness someone else being harassed, please report it as soon as possible. You can report issues to any event organizer or staff member.
- Confidentiality: All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
- Action: The organizing team will take all reports seriously and investigate them promptly. We are committed to taking appropriate action to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
